The Friday Five Vol. 5

It is Friday, right?  It has really been a strange week, hasn't it?  I know things are so serious for so many who are suffering physically, emotionally, financially, so the blessing of our health is not lost on me right now, nor the fact that I already work from home and it's not terribly inconvenient for my husband to do so as well.  Anyway, here are a few things that are brightening my week!
  1. Packed Party - Instagram really got it right with this targeted ad.  Color! Pattern! Fun! I have my eye on these sunglasses straps - L has lost about three pairs of sunglasses at school already.  These look right up her alley.

  2. Claris: Bonjour Riviera - I know I already shared this, but our pre-order of the newest Claris book came in this week.  As usual, the illustrations are flat gorgeous, and I am obsessed with this little mouse's style.
  3. London in Bloom - I also pre-ordered Georgianna Lane's newest book, and the delivery was perfectly timed with the first day of spring and blue skies.  Each of her city in bloom series are so dreamy - in fact, I shared about these first here.  To be honest, this might be my favorite cover yet.  I don't know when we'll be able to travel regularly again, but trust me that I have made copious notes for sightseeing in London, Paris, and New York.
  4. Hot rollers - these just came in the mail yesterday, but I am anxious to spend some time practicing over these few weeks of being at home, so that when I emerge into society again I have flawless hair and makeup ;)  Wearing hot rollers and eyeliner while I vacuum and wash dishes feels like I'm channeling my inner Southern matron.  Ashley has a great tutorial for how to use them!
  5. Emoji Uno - we have played this approximately 32743047801239 times over the past two weeks.  We have just turned the corner on the girls understanding and enjoying cards, and I will tell you that darn poop emoji went a long way to helping.
